Experience fully inclusive nature-based safari that explores the Nyerere (formerly Selous), Mikumi and Udzungwa Mountains National Parks. During this tour you will experiences game drive, boat safari, walking safari and passing/ visiting local villages. The Safari begins with Nyerere National Park arguably one of the best and most varied parks in Africa, followed by Mikumi with almost guaranteed wildlife sightings, and last with Udzungwa Mountains National Park home for fascinating diversity of life. The park has variety of landforms including rolling hills, mountains, valleys, and waterfalls that make the park outstanding scenic.

Itinerary details

Day 1

Dar es Salaam /Nyerere National Park Pick up by your safari guide upon arrival at Julias Nyerere International Airport/Port or place of staying and depart to Nyerere National Park formerly Selous Game Reserve, the journey will take 4hours. Afternoon you will experience boat safari along the mighty Rufiji River, brings you into close contact with hippo, crocodile and fantastic birdlife. Crocodile glide into the water as your boat approaches and hippo appear in frightening proximity, grunting and blowing steam. Dinner and overnight will be at Ngalawa Camp or Similar.

Day 2

Game Drive with 4 by 4 safari jeep, on this day you will have a full day in the park with 4by4 safari jeep; will permit you to have good photographic opportunities and the chance to explore different sections of vast park. Nyerere is famous for its elephants, commonly seen are lions, wild dogs, buffaloes, bushbuck, impalas, elands, baboons, zebras and greater kudus. Dinner and overnight will be at Ngalawa Camp or Similar.

Day 3

Walking and transfer to Mikumi National Park Wake up early morning for a coffee and off for bush walking safari with bushman for about 1hour, breakfast at the camp and transfer to Mikumi National Park. The journey will take 8hours with stopover in Morogoro for lunch. Dinner and overnight will be at Camp Bastian or Similar.

Day 4

Mikumi National Park full day of game drives around Mikumi. There is a rich variety bird species as well as large numbers of giraffes, buffaloes and elephants and close to the water holes also lions, leopards and hippos. Furthermore, you can see zebras, lions, wild dogs, pythons, hartebeest, wildebeest, elephants, impala, warthog, eland and other antelopes. Several observation towers enable you to overview the park in its entirety. Mikumi National Park is mostly Miombo woodland with gently rolling hills. Dinner and overnight will be at Camp Bastian or Similar.

Day 5

Breakfast followed by a visit to Maasai tribe village for about 1 hour, and transfer to Udzungwa Mountains National Park and start a walking tour in this beautiful Park enjoying and experience the stunning natural beauty of the park. Lunch will take in the bush then proceed exploring the area, wonderful waterfall, endemic red colobus monkey and the beautiful scenery with a lot of butterflies. Dinner and overnight will be at Twiga Resort.

Day 6

Udzungwa to Dar es Salaam, after breakfast transfer back to Dar es Salaam, where you will arrive late afternoon and drop off at the hotel of your choice or airport.
